General booking conditions
Use of this site implies full acceptance of our terms and conditions. By using this site, you acknowledge that you are of legal age, and guarantee the truthfulness and accuracy of the information provided. Any fraudulent or infringing use in your name or on behalf of a third party may result in you being denied access to our services, as well as in possible financial liability. These terms and conditions apply to all use of our website seminaire.brithotel.fr. The offers and terms and conditions presented are valid on the day they are consulted. They are periodically updated, however any reservation taken will be honored on the date of stay under the conditions specified.
For each reservation, a reservation number with a quote will be sent to you. You will need this number if you wish to cancel or modify your reservation, or if you wish to deal with Brit Hotel Développement or the hotel.
You can request a quote on the seminaire.brithotel.fr website up to the day of arrival. There is no advance booking limit (except in the case of special offers bookable with a minimum lead time) as long as rates and availability are specified.
You can also contact our reservation center on 0825 000 460 (€0.15 incl. tax/minute) from a landline in France. If you are booking late for the evening, we recommend that you call the hotel directly.
In the vast majority of cases, room rentals run from 2pm on the day of arrival to 12am on the day of departure. However, we advise you to check these arrival and departure times when booking, as there are variations between hotels.
If you book a room or seminar space, you will be allocated the space regardless of your arrival time. However, if you arrive after 7pm, we recommend that you contact the hotel by telephone so that you can be given the hotel access code, if applicable, or so that the hotel can be informed of your late arrival and make the necessary arrangements. Should you fail to do so and encounter problems on arrival at the hotel, neither Brit Hotel nor the hotel can be held responsible.
All orders are guaranteed by credit card and a deposit may be required to guarantee the reservation.
In the case of a flexible booking: the credit card is not debited; it serves as a guarantee for your booking, but payment for the stay is made directly to the hotel according to the terms of payment defined on the quotation.
Services
Although all the activities mentioned in the descriptions have been confirmed to us by our hotels and we have therefore published them in good faith, it may happen, for reasons beyond our control, that these activities and other services are suspended or cancelled without our having been notified.
Pets
The hotels are operated by companies independent of Brit Hotel Développement. We therefore recommend that you check with the hotel if you wish to bring your pet with you, as the policy for accepting or refusing to accept pets may vary from one establishment to another, independently of our decision.
Tobacco smell / Extra night charge
In the event of the smell of tobacco in the reserved areas, the management of our establishments reserves the right to charge an additional night. An invoice will be issued in such cases.
Price display
Prices displayed on our site are in euros or local currency where applicable. They are shown inclusive of all taxes, excluding a daily and personal tourist tax which may be collected in addition on behalf of the municipality. Our prices are subject to change at any time, without this being applicable to bookings already confirmed, except in the case of changes to legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities.
Means of payment
All hotels accept VISA and Mastercard credit cards. Some hotels accept Diners Club, JCB and American Express. The full amount of the stay must be paid directly to the hotel.
This information is clearly indicated in the quotation and on the booking confirmation sent by email.
Even in the case of bookings where the amount of the stay is debited at the time of booking, certain taxes, services or extras must be paid on site. The amount debited at the time of booking includes only those services payable at the time of booking (certain options can be booked but are payable at the hotel only), and tourist tax is always payable at the hotel.
Brit Hotel Développement and/or the hotel directly reserve(s) the right to consider your reservation as cancelled, if the credit card details, transmitted for the payment guarantee or for payment, prove to be faulty. In such a case, Brit Hotel Développement and/or the hotel reserve(s) the right to claim damages.
Deposits and advance payments
Some hotels, particularly those located in tourist areas, may require you to pay a deposit at the time of booking. The reservation center is not involved in these special conditions, and the transaction must take place between the hotel and the customer. The amount and conditions of the deposit must be clearly explained to the customer by the hotel, and must be accepted by the customer prior to any transaction. These exchanges must be made exclusively in writing. In the case of a deposit or advance payment, the reservation only becomes firm and definitive upon receipt of said payment by the hotelier.
Reservation modification
Reservation modifications (changes to dates of stay, names, number of people, type or number of rooms, etc.) are authorized, except on rates marked "non modifiable". They are subject to the same deadlines as cancellations (see paragraph "Cancellation of reservation and exceptions") in cases where the modification involves the cancellation of a certain number of nights in the reservation. In such cases, the rules governing reservation cancellations apply.
For any changes, please contact the hotel directly or call our reservations center on 0825 000 460 (€0.15 incl. VAT/min.) from a landline in France, giving your reservation confirmation number (reservation center opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm). You can also modify your reservation online by logging on to brithotel.fr to your customer area.
Reservation cancellation and exceptions
Except for non-modifiable, non-cancellable offers and in the case of online payment, cancellations can be made with the reservation center or the hotel:
Cancellations may be subject to a fee, please refer to the conditions of the quotation.
Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, the hotelier may disregard the time limits required for modification and cancellation free of charge. He may decide not to apply a penalty. In this case, the hotelier has the right to ask the customer for proof of force majeure. Brit Hotel Développement does not intervene in these decisions, which are the sole responsibility of the hotelier.
By force majeure, Brit Hotel Développement means any event outside the control of the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, and which prevents the customer, the travellers, the agency or the service providers involved in the trip from performing all or part of their obligations under the contract. This is particularly the case in the event of a strike by hotel staff, insurrection, riot or any other prohibition imposed by government or public authorities. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends the performance of the parties' mutual obligations. At the same time, each party shall bear all costs incurred as a result of force majeure: consequently, travellers alone shall bear any additional costs that may be incurred to enable the trip to continue following the occurrence of a case of force majeure.
In the event that, for a reason beyond its control, a hotel is unable to guarantee a reservation, it will make its best efforts to relocate you, at its own expense, to a nearby hotel of at least an equivalent category.
Claims
Any request for information or complaint should be addressed either to the hotel concerned or to Brit Hotel Développement Customer Service (Brit Hotel Développement, Immeuble Neptune, 22 rue des Landelles 35 135 CHANTEPIE), which will mediate between the parties. In this respect, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the hotels are operated by companies that are legally independent of Brit Hotel Développement, to which they are linked by a brand licensing agreement, and are therefore solely liable to customers for any damage. In order to facilitate processing, the customer is asked to submit any complaint relating to a reservation or stay as soon as possible/within 15 days. During their stay, customers should also take care to report any inconvenience in order to limit any possible consequences.
The customer is requested to exercise the utmost diligence in submitting any claim, so that it can be processed under the best possible conditions.
I acknowledge that I have read these terms and conditions of sale before making my reservation. Consequently, my reservation implies my full acceptance of Brit Hotel's terms and conditions of sale and my unreserved acceptance of all their provisions.
All disputes relating to the formation, performance and termination of contractual obligations between the parties that cannot be settled amicably will be submitted to the Tourism and Travel mediation service(https://www.mtv.travel/). If this service fails, disputes will be referred to the competent French courts at the hotel's head office, including payment disputes and other collection procedures.
